Take the ACF Pledge!

Climbing and camping, like many outdoor activities, provide challenges to each and every one of us. No matter who we are, and no matter how our bodies and minds work, being outdoors will (almost) always challenge us to confront situations that may be uncomfortable. This festival is no different, and we hope you find a fun challenge while you’re here.

In many situations, outdoor climbing areas are simply not accessible spaces. Some things may be difficult, or may just not be perfect, for every participant throughout this event. We do not want to remove that aspect of being outdoors and climbing outdoors. However, we do promise to work with you every step of the way to find ways to make things work for you. Accessibility barriers may arise, and we promise to tackle them in the best ways we can. Our goal at ACF is to tackle whatever barrier may pop up for someone at the fest — whether that’s  physically, emotionally, socially, or financially — to the best of our ability. With that said, we need you to meet up halfway!

As an attendee of the Adaptive Climbers Festival, you agree to the following:

  1. You will conduct yourself in a positive and mature manner, both during and after program hours;

  2. You agree to ask for help when needed, and to roll with the punches;

  3. You understand that ACF volunteers are doing their best to provide a great event for the whole community;

  4. You understand that if you need personal assistance or care that you need to bring a caregiver to hang out with.

  5. You agree that, even if it isn’t Type 1 Fun at first, you’re ready to embrace Type 2 Fun. Get stoked!

By abiding by these rules, you’ll help us ensure that everyone has the best experience possible at ACF. Thank you!
