Travel Info & Scholarships
You’ve registered for the fest, but how do you get there? For all of the surrounding beauty, the Red River Gorge and Lago Linda Hideaway are a bit of a journey from airports. Below, you’ll find options for travel from airports, as well as some advice on what airports to fly into.
Finally, if you are worried about funding your trip to ACF, read about our travel scholarships. Note: Scholarships for 2025 have already been awarded.
Carpooling
While the Adaptive Climbers Fest does not actively coordinate carpooling to and from camp for our participants, we do offer a platform where you can work together to find rides. If you have the ability to drive and rent a car, please do so — and please offer to take other ACFers!
If you have your own vehicle, click on the button below to offer a spot to a climber.
If you need a ride, you can click on the same button to ask for one! Woohoo!
Again, the ACF organizing team does NOT monitor this form. You're in charge!
Airport Info
The closest airports to our camp, Lago Linda Hideaway, are as follows:
Lexington (LEX): Approximately a 1.5-hour drive
Louisville (SDF): Approximately a 2.5-hour drive
Cincinnati (CVG). Approximately a 2.5-hour drive
Again, the ACF team does not organize carpooling. Sorry!

2025 ACF Travel Scholarship Applications Have Been Awarded
We know travel costs can be a barrier to attending Adaptive Climbers Festival. So, thanks to a generous contribution from our friends at Challenged Athletes Foundation Idaho and the Access Fund, ACF offers 14 travel scholarships of $500 each!
Travel scholarships are available for climbers with disabilities only, not plus ones or volunteers. Travel scholarships have been awarded for 2025.
Please reach out (operations@adaptiveclimbersfest.org) with questions!
